Our Beliefs

One Holy God:
Eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Holy Bible:
The inspired, infallible, authoritative source of Christian belief and teaching.
Created in the image of God but fallen, lost and powerless to save himself.
Jesus Christ:
Virgin-born Son of God who was crucified to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of all mankind.  He arose from the dead, thereby conquering sin, death and the grave.  Jesus will personally return to the earth in power and glory.
Man's Only Hope:
Believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
We Celebrate:
Water Baptism and Holy Communion are among the ways we celebrate our hope in Jesus Christ.
Consistent with His earthly ministry, Jesus Christ still offers healing for the physical, relational and emotional pain in our lives.
The Holy Spirit:
Indwells in those who receive Christ and empowers believers to live righteous and holy lives.  The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, along with its evidences, and the Gifts of the Spirit are available to believers today.
When a life is changed by the love of Christ, we begin a journey of becoming like Christ.  It is displayed outwardly in lives of integrity and is shown relationally by love and grace.
Life, as we know it, will come to an end.  Jesus will return and show himself to be "King of Kings".  Everyone will be held accountable for the choices in their lives.  A permanent, personal relationship with God, without the influence of evil and pain, will be established for all who chose Christ.  This will be heaven...forever.
The Church:
The Body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head, is comprised of all those who, through belief in Christ, have been spiritually changed by the personal work of the Holy Spirit.  Believers are called to pursue God's mission, both collectively and individually.  For some it is a vocation (pastors, missionaries, etc.), for all...a passion.

Two years after the founding of the Assemblies of God, members adopted 16 beliefs for the Fellowship. This list, known as the Statement of Fundamental Truths, remains virtually unchanged. Four of these beliefs are considered the major tenets of the Fellowship. They are:

1. Salvation Through Jesus Christ (John 3:3, 16, 17; Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8, 9)
Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life.
2. Baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; 2:4; 17, 18, 38, 39)
All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.
3. Divine Healing for the Sick (James 5:14-16)
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers.

4. The Second Coming of Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:14-16; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52)
The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years.
